Day 1

Arrival in Shanghai

Welcome to Shanghai! Upon your arrival at the airport or train station, your private guide and driver will meet you and escort you to your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.

After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax. If you're feeling energetic, your guide can recommend nearby places to explore. In the evening, consider an optional stroll along the Bund to see the dazzling night views.

Day 2

Shanghai City Highlights

Morning: After breakfast, start at the Lujiazui financial district in Pudong. Ride the world's fastest elevator to the 118th-floor observation deck (546 meters) of the Shanghai Tower — the tallest building in China. Enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Shanghai's dynamic skyline.

Midday: Visit the Shanghai Museum East, one of the Four Best Museums in China. Over one billion cultural relics are exhibited here, including precious bronzes, paintings, calligraphy, and ceramics from over 5,000 years of Chinese history.

Afternoon: Explore Tianzifang, a unique arts enclave remolded from a traditional residential block. Intertwined narrow alleys are filled with creative shops, cafés, and restaurants. Then head to The Bund at sunset for the iconic view of the Huangpu River with the Pudong skyline as your backdrop.

Day 3

Yu Garden → Shanghai Urban Planning Center → High-Speed Train to Suzhou

Morning: Visit Yu Garden, a masterpiece of Ming Dynasty landscape design built over 450 years ago. Explore the exquisite pavilions, rockeries, and ponds, then wander through the bustling Yuyuan Bazaar where you can taste local snacks like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings).

Midday: Visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, which features a massive 1:500 scale model of the entire Shanghai city center — a fascinating look at the city's past, present, and future.

Afternoon: Your guide will escort you to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station for a 30-minute high-speed train to Suzhou. Upon arrival, your Suzhou guide will meet you and take you to your hotel.

Evening: Explore Suzhou's ancient Shantang Street, a historic canal-side street dating back over 1,200 years. The illuminated buildings and waterways create a magical atmosphere.

Day 4

Suzhou Silk Museum → Humble Administrator's Garden → Pingjiang Road → Departure

Morning: Visit the Suzhou Silk Museum, the first museum in China specializing in silk. It showcases over a thousand years of Chinese silk history through exquisite relics, fragments, garments, and tapestry. Watch live demonstrations of silk weaving on traditional looms.

Midday: Explore the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou's largest and most famous classical garden. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, this masterpiece of Jiangnan garden design combines buildings, ponds, bridges, paths, and trees in perfect harmony.

Afternoon: Stroll along Pingjiang Road, a historical street dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 AD). This well-preserved ancient lane runs parallel to a canal, offering a glimpse into Suzhou's timeless charm with its traditional architecture, teahouses, and local craft shops.

Your guide will escort you to Suzhou Railway Station for your high-speed train back to Shanghai, or to the airport for your departure.
